DMV wouldn't allow this license plate.  I wonder why???  lol!

Cozy futon mattress.  Seriously...who stages their RV for pictures?

Can't live without the pink flamingos!  :)

Grampa and Oma's pedal pusher bikes.  Grampa's is a new 29" one and mine is a vintage yard sale $20 bargain.

Awning lights.  Boy oh boy will it look better when we get back!  :)

China checking out the squirrels. What the heck are they, anyway?  :)

Neighboring trailer caught fire due to a faulty Dometic fridge. Check for recalls!

Little Hopie's favorite seat by the window. :)

Yes, we're keeping the "Happy Bus" name...even after we paint the ol' gal!

China's favorite seat in the house...this was BEFORE we washed the darn thing....

Talk about white-knuckling!  Towing a trailer AND Kia on our maiden voyage?  Are we mad???

In MI where most of the renovations took place....

Now to actuall SEW the curtains since I've packed the sewing machine this time!

Yes, I know it's been a while since my last post and I'm sorry!  My laptop battery died on the road and my tablet wouldn't let me upload anything on here. :(  We have made a few more modifications to our "Happy Bus"!  We bought a porcelain toilet (yay!) that sits higher than the old, icky one and it is so much better!  Since the RV is in storage in NY until we get back to it next week, all I have are photos from a few months back.  We purchased 2 smaller sized barcaloungers (we may only use 1) and also a folding drop-leaf table and chairs that we may replace the standard dinette booth with.  We are not sure about this change, as we weren't able to take any measurements to make sure it will fit in the space provided. (measurements? who needs measurements? lol!)  Our awning works flawlessly and we bought a huge indoor/outdoor rug for our "patio".  We also found a smoking deal on a screen room (only $120 and it's never been used!) so we are very anxious to get it all set up again.  We have bins of items for the RV stacked by the door, ready to pack up the truck and head back to another few months of RV living.  From NY we will be traveling through D.C., then spending a month in VA.  Here's to a fun adventure!  Happy RV'ing, y'all! :)

Yay! We get to stay in beautiful New York until Memorial Day! Here's what the campsite looks like now.  Unfortunately this campground isn't a "full hookup" so we had to tear down to dump tanks and set up again. Boy is that a job! Anyway, I just HAD TO hang up a clothes line and jazz it up a bit with colorful samples of fabric. Jon doesn't understand the necessity...lol! Now to figure out how to hide unsightly items being stored under the rig.  Hmmmmm.... :)

How was everyone's Mother's Day? I had an awesome day with friends and family, then visited Niagara Falls on Monday. We enjoyed an exhilarating ride on the 'Maid of the Mist'. We highly recommend this experience!  It looks like we may have to store the old girl and put off further renovations for the summer....boo!  More updates to come.... Happy RV'ing! :

Rainy day sets us back a day or so setting up camp. :(

I LOVE that this duvet cover has ample room to fit a 8" thick futon mattress! :)

I love love love this new faucet!  It has a pull-out AND soap dispenser!  Yippee!  :)
Wheeew!  Well we actually got the ol' girl from Michigan to Upstate NY with only a blown cab heater.  Yeah, it was COLD!  We had to stop several times to park and turn on the propane/heater but eventually made it safe and sound!  We have finished replacing the faucets and adding a few more decorative touches.  The dinette bench cushions have been replaced with outdoor furniture cushions from Meiers in Michigan and the jackknife sofa cushions were replaced with a comfy 8" futon mattress, covered with my favorite duvet cover.  Wahlah!  It looks like a new RV!  (At least on the inside).  Now to get the "NEW" awning and propane heater to work correctly (unrolling the awning would be awesome and having a heater that didn't sound like a helicopter on your head would be nice).  Beware of some of these RV repair techs!  Aaaagh!  Still happier with our little home on wheels than we were before tho! :)

More repairs!

Well, the new expanding shower curtain rod went in last night....not sure how much more roomy it will feel until I get a nicer shower curtain.  Today the new faucets go in and we wait on the estimate for the heater and awning repairs. For now I am happy with our new coffee maker.  It's a little 6 cupper that matches the 12 cup at home. Simple pleasures...  :)
